Terms of Use

The terms for the Sugar Lens app, Sugar Lens Plus and Sugar Intake Tracker. Last updated: September 23, 2026.

These are the Terms of Use for Sugar Lens and for the Sugar Intake Tracker website. They are also the End User Licence Agreement (EULA) for the Sugar Lens app. Here is the short version:

  • Sugar Lens and this website are made by Iaroslav Morgunov, a sole trader in Porto, Portugal, trading as Last Stand Studio.
  • Sugar Lens is an iPhone app that estimates the sugar in your food from a photo and keeps a daily sugar log. On the App Store it is called "Sugar Tracker: Food Scanner". You don't need an account.
  • Your sugar log is stored on your phone. When you ask for a photo analysis, the photos you chose are sent through our relay on Cloudflare to an AI service (OpenAI) to make the estimate. Your log, age, gender and goal are never sent.
  • AI estimates are approximate. Sugar Lens is for general wellness only. Never use it for insulin dosing, diagnosis or other medical decisions.
  • Using the tracker needs Sugar Lens Plus: a monthly subscription or a one-time Lifetime purchase. Apple bills you. A subscription renews automatically until you cancel it in your Apple Account settings.
  • Apple handles refunds. Your legal rights as a consumer, including the EU right of withdrawal where it applies, are not affected.
  • Sugar Lens has no cloud sync or export, and iPhone backups don't include your log. If you delete the app or lose your phone, your log is gone, and we can't recover it.
  • Portuguese law applies, but you keep the consumer protections of the country where you live.

This summary is here to help you. The full Terms below are the ones that apply.

1. Who we are

Sugar Lens and Sugar Intake Tracker are made and run by Iaroslav Morgunov, an individual sole trader (not a company) trading as Last Stand Studio. The App Store lists the app's developer as Iaroslav Morgunov.

In these Terms, "we", "us" and "our" mean Iaroslav Morgunov. "You" means the person using Sugar Lens or our website.

2. About these Terms

These Terms cover:

  • the Sugar Lens app for iPhone (the "app"), listed on the App Store as Sugar Tracker: Food Scanner, including the iPhone app on any other Apple device it runs on, such as a Mac with Apple silicon;
  • Sugar Lens Plus, the paid upgrade inside the app; and
  • our website, www.sugarintaketracker.com, including its blog and free sugar tools.

Sugar Lens is currently available only on Apple's App Store. There is no Android version. If we release one, we will update these Terms first.

By downloading, installing or using Sugar Lens, or by using our website, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use them.

Two other things also apply:

  • Our Privacy Policy explains what data is processed and how. It is a separate document, not part of these Terms, but please read it.
  • When you download the app or buy Sugar Lens Plus, the terms of Apple's App Store also apply. See sections 12 and 13.

If you are a consumer, nothing in these Terms takes away rights that the law gives you and that a contract cannot remove.

3. What Sugar Lens is

Sugar Lens is an iPhone app that helps you keep track of the sugar you eat. You take or choose a photo of your food, and you can add a photo of its nutrition label. Sugar Lens uses AI to estimate the total sugar in it (natural and added sugar together). The estimate comes with a likely range and a confidence level. You check it, change the food, portion, grams, date or time if you need to, and then decide whether to add it to your log. You can also type in the grams yourself, without a photo. Your entries build a day-by-day sugar calendar, and you can set an optional daily goal of your own.

How it works:

  • No account. You don't sign up or log in. We don't ask for your name or email address. During setup you can enter your age and gender, but both are optional.
  • Your log is stored on your phone. Your entries, your daily goal, your measurement system, your age and gender if you gave them, and thumbnails of the food photos you add to your log are stored in the app on your phone. We don't run a server that stores them, and we never receive them unless you send them to us.
  • Photo analysis. Only when you ask for an analysis, the app sends the food photo you picked, and the label photo if you added one, to our relay server on Cloudflare. The relay passes them to OpenAI's AI service, which returns the estimate. The app also sends your measurement system and app language, so the answer uses the right units and language. It doesn't send your age, gender, goal or log. Our relay doesn't store your photos. OpenAI may keep them for a limited time under its API data rules, as our Privacy Policy explains. Photo analysis needs an internet connection.
  • You decide what is saved. An estimate is only added to your log if you confirm it. When you do, the app keeps a small thumbnail of the food photo on your phone. Label photos and estimates you discard are not kept.
  • Before you start. During setup, the app explains how photo analysis works and asks you to agree before you continue. You never have to analyse a photo: you can add every entry by hand, and then no photo leaves your phone. You can withdraw your agreement at any time in Settings > Reset onboarding, as our Privacy Policy explains.
  • Links in the app. The Terms of Use, Privacy Policy and support links in the app open these pages of our website inside the app.

Our website has articles and free tools, such as sugar calculators, a quiz, a label decoder and a printable log. The tools run in your browser. They are for general information only (see section 9). The website itself sets no cookies and runs no advertising or tracking tools. Its only analytics tool is Fathom, which is cookie-free and doesn't identify you. The Sugar-Free Streak Tracker saves your start date and best streak in your own browser, and nowhere else. Our blog articles include YouTube videos. When a video player loads, YouTube (Google) receives your IP address and may store data in your browser. Our Privacy Policy has the details.

Our Privacy Policy also explains what the app shares with the services it relies on: Apple, OpenAI, Cloudflare and RevenueCat.

4. Who can use Sugar Lens

Sugar Lens is rated 4+ on the App Store and doesn't need an account, but it is designed for teenagers and adults. If you enter your age, it must be 13 or over. Please keep these points in mind:

  • If you're under 18, ask a parent or guardian before you buy Sugar Lens Plus, and read these Terms together.
  • If you're under 13 (or under the age at which you can agree to online services on your own where you live), please use Sugar Lens only with a parent's or guardian's permission and help.
  • Parents and guardians can approve purchases with Apple's Ask to Buy. If you are tracking a child's sugar, please read section 9 first.

5. Your licence to use Sugar Lens

The app is licensed to you, not sold. It stays ours.

We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to download and use Sugar Lens on Apple devices you own or control, for your own non-commercial use. This licence is subject to these Terms and to the App Store's rules. Section 13 also applies.

You may not, and may not help anyone else to:

  • copy or change the app, or make works based on it, except as the law allows;
  • sell, rent, lend, share or sublicense the app, except through store features such as Family Sharing;
  • reverse engineer, decompile or disassemble the app, except where the law gives you a right to do so that a contract cannot remove;
  • get around, disable or interfere with Sugar Lens Plus or any security feature;
  • use our AI relay or photo analysis outside the app, or for anything other than logging your own food;
  • remove or change any copyright, trademark or other notice; or
  • use Sugar Lens for anything unlawful.

Sugar Lens includes open-source software. Those parts come with their own licences, and nothing in these Terms limits your rights under those licences.

6. Sugar Lens Plus

What Plus includes

Sugar Lens has no free version of the tracker. Without Sugar Lens Plus you can go through the setup screens, but photo analysis, manual entries, your sugar calendar and the app's settings all need Plus. The Sugar Lens Plus screen in the app shows what's included before you buy.

Photo analysis is meant for logging your own food. It has no set limit on how many photos you can analyse, but to protect the service for everyone, we may slow down or briefly block unusually heavy or automated use.

Plans and prices

Sugar Lens Plus is currently offered as a monthly subscription that renews automatically and as a one-time Lifetime purchase. The plans on offer can change over time. The app shows which ones are available to you. Before you confirm, the app and Apple's payment screen show the plan, its billing period (if any) and its price in your local currency. Prices can differ between countries.

Payment and automatic renewal

  • Apple bills you, not us. Payment is charged to your Apple Account when you confirm the purchase or, if your subscription starts with a free trial, when the trial ends. We never see your card details.
  • If the monthly plan comes with a free trial, the app shows you, before you start, how long the trial lasts and the price you'll pay after it. Whether a trial is offered, and for how long, depends on the offer in the App Store and on whether you have had one before. When the trial ends, your paid subscription starts automatically and you're charged that price, unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends.
  • Your subscription renews automatically every month unless you cancel it. Cancel at least 24 hours before the current period ends.
  • Apple may charge you for the renewal in the 24 hours before the current period ends.
  • The renewal price is your current price, unless you have been told about a price change (see "Price changes" below).

How to cancel or manage your subscription

Apple handles billing, so you manage and cancel your subscription in your Apple Account:

  • In Sugar Lens: open Settings and tap Manage subscription. This opens Apple's subscription screen.
  • On your iPhone: open Settings, tap your name, then tap Subscriptions. Or open the App Store, tap your profile picture, then tap Subscriptions. You can also go straight to your Apple subscriptions. Apple's guide: Cancel a subscription from Apple.

Deleting the app does not cancel your subscription.

When you cancel, you keep Sugar Lens Plus until the end of the period you've paid for. After that, the app shows the Sugar Lens Plus screen instead of your tracker. We don't delete anything: your log stays on your phone, and you can open it again if you subscribe again or restore a purchase.

Cancelling stops future renewals. It doesn't refund the current period on its own. See section 7 for refunds.

If you move from the monthly plan to Lifetime, your subscription doesn't stop by itself. Cancel it in your Apple Account as described above, so you aren't charged for both.

Price changes

We may change the price of Sugar Lens Plus. A price change never affects a period you've already paid for. If your subscription price goes up, Apple will tell you before the new price applies, under its rules. If you don't want to pay the new price, you can cancel before your next renewal. Where Apple needs your agreement to a price increase and you don't give it, your subscription ends at the end of the current period.

Lifetime purchases

If you buy Sugar Lens Plus as a one-time Lifetime purchase:

  • you pay once, and it doesn't renew or expire;
  • it unlocks Sugar Lens Plus for as long as we offer Sugar Lens. "Lifetime" means the lifetime of the app, not your lifetime or ours;
  • we honour it: we won't turn it into a subscription or ask you to pay again for the Plus features it unlocks;
  • on the App Store, you can share it with up to five other family members through Apple Family Sharing, as Apple's rules allow; and
  • if we ever stop offering Sugar Lens, section 14 applies, and your legal rights are not affected.

Restoring purchases

Your purchase is linked to the Apple Account you used to buy it, not to a Sugar Lens account. If you reinstall Sugar Lens or get a new phone, or if Plus doesn't unlock after you've paid, tap Restore purchases on the Sugar Lens Plus screen (or in Settings) while signed in with the same Apple Account. If restoring doesn't work, please contact us.

To check whether you have Sugar Lens Plus, the app uses a service called RevenueCat, which confirms your purchase with Apple (see section 12).

7. Refunds and your right of withdrawal

Apple handles the sale of Sugar Lens Plus, including payments and refunds. Whether you get your money back depends on Apple's refund policy and on your legal rights, which these Terms don't limit.

Asking for a refund

Request a refund at reportaproblem.apple.com. Apple's guide: Request a refund for apps or content that you bought from Apple. We can't issue refunds for App Store purchases ourselves, but you can write to us and we'll help where we can.

Your 14-day right of withdrawal

If you're a consumer in the EU, and in some other countries, you normally have 14 days to withdraw from an online purchase without giving a reason. Because Apple sells Sugar Lens Plus to you, you use this right with Apple: in the Purchase History of your Apple Account, select the order and choose "Withdraw Transaction", or email rightofwithdrawal@apple.com. The Apple Media Services Terms explain the details. You can also write to us and we'll help.

How the right works depends on whether the law treats your purchase as digital content or as a digital service:

  • Digital content supplied straight away (for example, Plus unlocking as soon as you pay): you lose the right of withdrawal once supply has started, but only if you expressly agreed to supply starting within the withdrawal period, you acknowledged that you would lose the right, and you received confirmation of this. If any of these is missing, you keep the right, and you don't have to pay for what you've already received.
  • Digital service (such as an ongoing subscription, or photo analysis we carry out for you): you can still withdraw within the 14 days. If you asked for the service to start straight away, you may have to pay for the part you used before you withdrew.

Your other legal rights

If Sugar Lens Plus doesn't work as described, the law gives you rights as a consumer, known as the legal guarantee of conformity. For a subscription, we are responsible for any such problem for as long as we supply Sugar Lens Plus to you. For a Lifetime purchase, we are responsible for as long as we provide Sugar Lens Plus, and never for less than the period the law sets. Depending on where you live, your rights can include having the problem fixed, getting a price reduction, or ending the contract and getting your money back. Please contact us first so we can try to fix the problem. Nothing in these Terms limits these rights.

8. Your data and backups

Your sugar log is yours. We claim no rights to it, and we never receive it unless you send it to us, for example in a support email.

Where your data is kept

  • On your phone, inside the app. This includes your entries, daily goal, measurement system, and your age and gender if you gave them.
  • Food thumbnails are saved as files in the app on your phone. Your iPhone backups, in iCloud or on a computer, can include them. Apple controls those backups.

What this means for you

Sugar Lens has no cloud sync, no export and no backup feature of its own. The app also stores your log, goal and profile in a way that iPhone backups skip. So if you delete the app, or lose, reset or replace your phone, your sugar log will most likely be lost for good, even if you restore a backup.

We can't recover data we never had. We can't see, restore or rebuild your log for you.

Deleting your data

  • Deleting an entry also deletes its food thumbnail.
  • In the app, go to Settings and tap Delete all tracker data. This removes your intake history, food thumbnails, age, gender, measurement preference and daily goal from your phone. It doesn't cancel your subscription.
  • Deleting the app removes everything it stored on your phone. This also works if you no longer have Sugar Lens Plus.

Copies of food thumbnails in your iPhone backups stay until those backups are replaced or deleted. Our Privacy Policy explains your other rights.

9. Health and nutrition

Sugar Lens helps you keep an eye on the sugar you eat. It is not a medical device, and it doesn't give medical, diabetes or nutrition advice.

  • AI estimates are approximate. The AI can mistake one food for another, misjudge the portion, or miss sugar it can't see, for example in sauces, drinks and mixed dishes. Each estimate shows a range and a confidence level. Check it, and correct it before you add it to your log. For packaged food, the nutrition label is usually the better source.
  • Never use Sugar Lens for insulin dosing, diagnosis or any other medical decision. It estimates sugar, not total carbohydrates, and it is not accurate enough for managing a medical condition.
  • Your daily goal is a number you choose. Sugar Lens doesn't set or recommend a target for you.
  • The articles and tools on our website are general information based on published guidelines from the WHO, AHA, NHS and USDA. Calculators give estimates, not a diagnosis or a personal recommendation.
  • If you have diabetes, prediabetes or another condition affected by sugar, are pregnant, or have (or have had) an eating disorder, talk to your doctor or a registered dietitian before you use a tracker to change what you eat. The same goes before you change a child's diet. Their advice comes before anything in Sugar Lens or on our website.
  • In an emergency, for example signs of very low or very high blood sugar, contact your local emergency services (112 in the EU).

10. Acceptable use

When you use Sugar Lens or our website, please don't:

  • break the law or infringe anyone's rights;
  • send photos for analysis that show other people, or other people's personal information, without their permission. The whole photo is sent for analysis, so please photograph only food and nutrition labels;
  • try to get unauthorised access to, disrupt, overload or damage the app, our AI relay, our website, or the services they rely on, for example by sending automated requests;
  • introduce viruses or other harmful code;
  • present results from the app or our tools to other people as personal medical advice;
  • send us anything unlawful, abusive or harmful, or other people's personal data without their permission; or
  • use the Sugar Lens or Sugar Intake Tracker name or logo in a way that suggests we endorse you, without our permission.

11. Intellectual property and feedback

The app and our website, and everything in them, belong to us or to the people who licensed them to us. That includes the Sugar Lens and Sugar Intake Tracker names, logos, design, text, graphics and code. These Terms don't give you any rights in them, except the licence in section 5 and the right to use our website as intended. Guideline values we quote from the WHO, AHA, NHS and USDA remain the work of their publishers.

You're welcome to share links to our website and to quote short parts of our articles with a link back, as the law allows. You may also embed our free tools on your own website using the embed code on each tool's page, as long as you keep the attribution link that comes with it. Embedded tools are counted by our cookie-free analytics (Fathom), as our Privacy Policy explains. We may stop offering embeds at any time. Please ask us before republishing anything more.

Your log and the entries you create in the app, including the estimates you save, are yours to use as you like.

If you send us ideas, suggestions or feedback, we may use them to improve Sugar Lens without paying you. Please don't send us anything you want to keep confidential.

12. Third-party services

Sugar Lens relies on services run by other companies. Where you use one of them directly, such as the App Store, its own terms apply and you must follow them. The same goes for your mobile network's or internet provider's terms.

  • Apple App Store distributes the app. It sells Sugar Lens Plus, takes payment, and handles cancellations and refunds. For buyers in the EU, the seller is Apple Distribution International Ltd. Terms: Apple Media Services Terms.
  • OpenAI provides the AI model that analyses the photos you choose and returns the sugar estimate. We use it through our own business account. You don't need an OpenAI account.
  • Cloudflare runs our relay server, which passes your photos to OpenAI and keeps our access key private. It doesn't store your photos. It may use your IP address for a short time to limit abuse.
  • RevenueCat confirms your purchases with Apple so the app knows whether to unlock Sugar Lens Plus. It doesn't receive your photos, your log, your name or your email address.
  • Vercel hosts our website, including the Terms, Privacy Policy and support pages that the app opens.

Details of what each service receives are in our Privacy Policy. We don't control these services. This doesn't reduce our own responsibility for Sugar Lens under these Terms and the law.

13. Extra terms for the App Store version

Sugar Lens is distributed through Apple's App Store, so the following terms also apply. Apple requires them. If they conflict with anything else in these Terms, this section applies. None of it reduces your rights as a consumer under the law.

  • Agreement with us, not Apple. These Terms are between you and us only, not Apple. We, not Apple, are solely responsible for Sugar Lens and its content. These Terms don't set usage rules for Sugar Lens that conflict with the Apple Media Services Terms.
  • Scope of licence. Your licence to use Sugar Lens is non-transferable and limited to use on Apple-branded products that you own or control, as permitted by the Usage Rules in the Apple Media Services Terms. Other accounts associated with you may also access and use Sugar Lens through Family Sharing, volume purchasing or Legacy Contacts.
  • Maintenance and support. We alone are responsible for maintenance and support for Sugar Lens, as described in these Terms or as required by law. Apple has no obligation to provide any maintenance or support services for Sugar Lens.
  • Warranty. We alone are responsible for any product warranties, whether express or implied by law, to the extent they are not effectively disclaimed. If Sugar Lens fails to conform to any applicable warranty, you can notify Apple, and Apple will refund the purchase price, if any, that you paid for Sugar Lens. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation for Sugar Lens. Any other claims, losses, liabilities, damages, costs or expenses caused by a failure to conform to a warranty are our responsibility, not Apple's.
  • Product claims. We, not Apple, are responsible for handling any claims by you or anyone else relating to Sugar Lens or your possession or use of it. This includes: (i) product liability claims; (ii) any claim that Sugar Lens fails to meet an applicable legal or regulatory requirement; and (iii) claims under consumer protection, privacy or similar laws. These Terms don't limit our liability to you beyond what the law allows.
  • Intellectual property claims. If anyone claims that Sugar Lens, or your possession and use of it, infringes their intellectual property rights, we, not Apple, are solely responsible for investigating, defending, settling and discharging that claim.
  • Legal compliance. You may use Sugar Lens only if you are not located in a country that is subject to a U.S. Government embargo or that the U.S. Government has designated as a "terrorist supporting" country, and you are not on any U.S. Government list of prohibited or restricted parties. By downloading Sugar Lens from the App Store, you confirm that both of these are true.
  • Developer name and address. Please send any questions, complaints or claims about Sugar Lens to us: Iaroslav Morgunov (Last Stand Studio), Rua Alfredo Keil 571, 4150-047 Porto, Portugal; phone +351 924 331 054; email support@sugarintaketracker.com.
  • Third-party terms. When you use Sugar Lens, you must follow any third-party agreements that apply to you, such as your mobile data or internet service agreement.
  • Third-party beneficiary. Apple and Apple's subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms. Once you accept these Terms, Apple has the right (and is treated as having accepted the right) to enforce them against you as a third-party beneficiary.

14. Changes to Sugar Lens and availability

We keep working on Sugar Lens, so it will change over time. We may change it:

  • to fix bugs or security problems;
  • to keep it working with new versions of iOS, or with changes to Apple, OpenAI, Cloudflare or other services it relies on;
  • to change the AI model or provider behind photo analysis, for example to keep it working or to improve its estimates;
  • to follow the law or App Store rules;
  • to improve existing features or add new ones; or
  • to remove features that few people use or that we can no longer reasonably support.

Changes never cost you extra for a period you've already paid for. If a change makes Sugar Lens Plus worse for you in more than a minor way, we'll tell you clearly and in advance, for example in the app, in its update notes on the App Store, or on this website. You can then end your subscription free of charge within 30 days of being told or of the change, whichever is later. We'll make sure you get a refund for the part you haven't used. If you have a Lifetime purchase, your legal rights in this situation are not affected.

Photo analysis needs an internet connection and depends on outside services, so it may sometimes be slow or unavailable. When it is, you can still add entries by hand and see your log. We can't promise that Sugar Lens will always be available in every country, or on every device or iOS version. Older versions of iOS may stop being supported.

If we decide to stop offering Sugar Lens, we'll try to give you reasonable notice. We'll stop selling and renewing subscriptions. Your data stays on your phone. Your legal rights for any period you've paid for, and for Lifetime purchases, are not affected.

15. Our responsibility to you

We work hard to make Sugar Lens reliable. But like all software, it may sometimes have bugs or be unavailable, and AI estimates will sometimes be wrong (see section 9).

If we break these Terms or fail to use reasonable care and skill, we are responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result. Loss is foreseeable if it was obvious it would happen, or if both of us knew it might happen when you started using Sugar Lens.

To the extent the law allows, we are not responsible for:

  • loss or damage that wasn't foreseeable;
  • problems caused by events outside our reasonable control, such as outages at Apple, OpenAI, Cloudflare or RevenueCat, or changes to iOS;
  • loss of your log when you delete the app or lose, reset or replace your phone, as described in section 8, unless a fault in Sugar Lens caused it; or
  • business losses, such as lost profits, revenue or business opportunities. Sugar Lens is for personal use.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability for:

  • death, personal injury, damage to health, or harm to a person's moral integrity (such as their dignity or reputation);
  • fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation;
  • harm caused intentionally or through gross negligence, by us or by anyone acting for us; or
  • anything else the law doesn't allow us to exclude or limit, including your legal rights as a consumer, such as your rights when digital content or a digital service doesn't match the contract.

16. Ending these Terms

You can stop using Sugar Lens at any time by deleting the app. If you have a subscription, cancel it in your Apple Account as well (see section 6), because deleting the app doesn't cancel it.

We may end or suspend your licence to use Sugar Lens if you seriously or repeatedly break these Terms, for example by getting around Sugar Lens Plus or misusing our AI relay. Where it's reasonable, we'll warn you first and give you a chance to put things right. If we end your licence when you haven't broken these Terms, you keep your legal rights, including a refund for any unused period you've paid for.

When these Terms end, your licence ends and you must stop using the app. Sections that are meant to continue, such as sections 11, 15, 18 and 19, stay in effect. Your data stays on your phone until you delete it.

17. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms for a valid reason: a change in the law or in regulators' guidance, a change in App Store rules, a change to Sugar Lens's features or to the services it relies on, or to make these Terms clearer. We'll publish the new version on this page with a new "Last updated" date.

If a change is significant, we'll also tell you before it takes effect, for example in the app or in its release notes. Changes don't apply to the past.

If you don't agree to the new Terms, you can stop using Sugar Lens and cancel your subscription before they take effect. If a change is to your disadvantage and affects a period you've already paid for, you can end your subscription free of charge and get a refund for the unused part. If you keep using Sugar Lens after the change takes effect, the new Terms apply to you.

18. Governing law and courts

These Terms are governed by Portuguese law.

If you are a consumer, you also keep the protection of the mandatory laws of the country where you live. Choosing Portuguese law doesn't take that protection away. For example, if you live in another EU country, you can still rely on the consumer protection rules there that a contract can't override.

Where claims can be brought:

  • Consumers in the EU: you can bring a claim against us in the courts of Portugal or in the courts of the EU country where you live. We can only bring a claim against you in the courts of the EU country where you live.
  • Consumers outside the EU: you can bring a claim against us in the courts of Portugal. If the law of the country where you live lets you bring the claim in your local courts, you keep that right.
  • Business users: the courts of Porto, Portugal, have exclusive jurisdiction.

19. Complaints and consumer disputes

If something goes wrong, please email us at support@sugarintaketracker.com first. Most problems can be sorted out quickly. For problems with a payment, you can also contact Apple.

Consumer arbitration in Portugal

If you're a consumer and we can't settle a complaint together, you can take it to a consumer arbitration centre in Portugal. For consumer disputes worth up to €5,000, Portuguese law lets you choose arbitration, and we must take part. These are the consumer arbitration centres we are bound by:

  • CNIACC (Centro Nacional de Informação e Arbitragem de Conflitos de Consumo, the National Centre for Consumer Information and Arbitration), Rua D. Afonso Henriques, 1, 4700-030 Braga, Portugal: www.cniacc.pt. CNIACC covers any area of Portugal that no regional centre serves.
  • CACCL (Centro de Arbitragem de Conflitos de Consumo de Lisboa), Lisbon area: www.centroarbitragemlisboa.pt
  • CICAP (Centro de Informação de Consumo e Arbitragem do Porto), Porto area: www.cicap.pt
  • CACRC (Centro de Arbitragem de Conflitos de Consumo da Região de Coimbra), Coimbra region: www.cacrc.pt
  • TRIAVE (Centro de Arbitragem de Conflitos de Consumo do Vale do Ave), Ave, Tâmega and Sousa area: www.triave.pt
  • CIAB (Centro de Informação, Mediação e Arbitragem de Consumo), Minho and Alto Tâmega area: www.ciab.pt
  • CIMAAL (Centro de Informação, Mediação e Arbitragem de Conflitos de Consumo do Algarve), Algarve: www.consumoalgarve.pt
  • CACC Madeira (Centro de Arbitragem de Conflitos de Consumo da Região Autónoma da Madeira), Madeira: www.madeira.gov.pt/cacc

Each regional centre's website lists the municipalities it covers.

Complaints book

You can also make a complaint in Portugal's electronic complaints book (Livro de Reclamações) at www.livroreclamacoes.pt.

20. General

  • Severability. If a court decides that part of these Terms is invalid or can't be enforced, the rest of these Terms stays in effect.
  • No waiver. If we don't enforce a right straight away, we can still enforce it later.
  • Transfer. We may transfer our rights and obligations under these Terms to another person or business, for example if Sugar Lens is sold. We'll tell you if this happens, and it won't reduce your rights. You can't transfer your rights under these Terms to anyone else, except through store features such as Family Sharing.
  • Third-party rights. Apart from Apple's rights under section 13, no one else has rights under these Terms.
